Sadly, I still have no key and is still patiently waiting for one (through beta invite and contest, hopefully). “We’ve just finished our first significant expansion of Dota 2 server capacity around the world, and that means it’s time to kick this thing up a notch. Starting this week, we’ll be handing out Dota 2 in increasing volumes. To celebrate, we’re releasing the first part of the official Dota 2 comic, Tales from the Secret Shop.

Once you’ve read today’s part, make sure you fill out the Dota 2 Survey in Steam to secure your place in the upcoming invitations (if you haven’t restarted your Steam client for a few days, you might need to do that before clicking that link). The extra data the survey provides will allow us to ensure we invite a wide spread of players and hardware.

One thing everyone will tell you is that Dota is a game that’s more fun with friends. Because of that, we wanted to make sure everyone we invited could bring a couple of friends – so everyone who receives Dota 2 will be given two extra copies that they can hand out to whomever they’d like. You’ll find your extra copies in the Steam section of your Steam account’s item inventory, and you can use the Steam Trading feature to give them to your friends.

Once you have Dota 2 installed, keep an eye on this blog. We update the game every Thursday with extra heroes, features, and bug fixes, and we’ll cover interesting elements of those updates right here. We’ll also be giving you some more insight into the development of Dota 2 over the coming months, as we roll through the rest of Dota’s many heroes.”

This update contains Jakiro, Huskar and Bat Rider all who have abilities related to fire. These heroes will be a fine addition to the game making the game play experience as diverse as ever. With every hero that gets added to the pool we are nearing Open beta (hopefully xD). As usual for those that have no beta key yet, all we have to do is wait for some streams and videos to feel the game. As of the time of writing this, there was not a single video out there yet from DotaCinema regarding the new heroes.

“Today’s update adds Huskar, Batrider, and everyone’s favorite Twin-Headed Dragon, Jakiro.

We’re continuing to experiment with community management features, so today we’re adding a commendation system, which allows you to commend players who made your game a happier experience, and report anyone being hostile. As always, we’ll be gathering a bunch of data on the usage of the feature to see how it’ll fit into our overall system. Also, since we’ve received a bunch of positive feedback about the Player Perspective view in spectator mode, we’ve been working on putting the finishing touches on it – in this update it now shows you the shop, so you can see exactly how the pros buy their items. As usual, there’s a variety of other gameplay additions and fixes, and some improvements to the practice bots.

The folks over at joindota.com, in partnership with own3D, have announced an online tournament featuring 24 teams that will compete for $14,000 dollars. The tournament will start on November 7th, so head over to the-defense.com for coverage.

At Microsoft’s Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing in June, the company announced a Kinect-enabled version of Mojang’s PC indie hit Minecraft would be released for the Xbox 360 this winter. However, construction on the world-building Xbox Live Arcade title is taking longer than anticipated. The game is now slated for a spring 2012 release. As for a specific release date, Platt said that likely would not be revealed until next year.

Gamers hoping to try a playable Xbox 360 version of Minecraft should get a chance to do so next month at the inaugural MineCon convention. Held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from November 18-19, MineCon will coincide with the full launch of the PC version of Minecraft, which is technically still in beta.

As you will heard, Extended Cut is the enhanced PS3 version of the Wii light gun shooter.

Lots of improvement shown and addition to that HD visuals the PS3 version dons more accurate Move controls and additional stages and content. The latter are the focus of this trailer, with the new levels Naked Terror and Creeping Flesh shown.

After last weeks Rikimaru update, Valve’s Dota2 has again pushed another awesome release yesterday (today’s friday in my time). This time, the game is available to beta testers with 3 new familiar heroes from the original Dota namely, Broodmother, Skeleton King and Queen of Pain. The game also includes the pause command which allows the game to have up to 3 pauses (timeouts) per player.

The new heroes look awesome, also their skills are stunning as well. Get ready to pwn other heroes with these as you play the game be it in the Dire side or the Radiant one. As every week goes by, the hero pool is increasing making the game as fun and diverse as it can get.

For the unfortunate ones who do not have beta keys themselves, including me, we still can enjoy this update by watching some cool Dota 2 videos from DotaCinema @ Youtube. I know you’re itching to watch them in action, so without further blabbering, here are the 3 new Dota2 Heroes.

Update about EA’s first current-gen outing for SSX sets the over-the-top snowboarding title for a romantically timed release early in 2012. This summer will be never being lonely and most of our holidays will be more joyful this year. Twisted Metal and Binary Domain were already set for a Valentine’s Day releases, and EA has added its own game to the mix with the official SSX site is now listing a February 14 release for the over the top snowboarding title.

The game was originally announced as “Deadly Descent” and grim tone, EA make some additional inputs and other tone to keep the series lighthearted.

The game has new adventures without boundaries. Players are allow to free-ride virtually anywhere they want.
